holiday cheer
For the past few months we've been doing Joy School for Dylan and Lola. They absolutely love it. There are five kids and last week we took them to a care home here in Moscow to perform their Christmas skit for the wonderful people there. They did so well practicing their parts--Dylan was a wise man and Lola was Mary. At first she didn't want anything to do with getting her costume on the day of, but then she saw everyone else "playing dress-up" and of course she wanted to join in. And then she was very quiet and took it very seriuously. She kept looking up at me trying not to smile and she wrapped up her doll for the baby and it was so cute. Here is a video that one of the other mothers took as they performed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=haVCKN3Zx8M All the kids actually new their parts, but I think they kind of lost focus being there in front of all those people. The favorite song in our house right now is "Jingle Bells". Lola sometimes calls it "Tinker Bells". So cute. This week for Joy School we took the kids to Wild At Art. It's a place to take art classes, walk in to do projects etc. and it's for the whole family. They had these cute little Christmas ornaments for the kids to paint and the kids loved it. They were all very quiet and focused as they painted. The lady will fire them and we'll be able to pick them up next week. I didn't take my camera, but one of the other moms took pictures, so as soon as I get them from her I'll post some. We also had the kids frost cookies and play in the playground there at the indoor mall.
